Before you go

The perimeter road remains closed to vehicles and trams after a December 2024 landslide (Rock Crusher to Four Corners), but a cyclist/pedestrian detour has been open since January 2026 — confirmed as of 2026-08-22. Expect a detour with reduced views on that section, not a full closure.

Conditions and cautions

A December 2024 landslide closed a stretch of the perimeter road (Rock Crusher to Four Corners) to vehicle and tram traffic. A pedestrian/cyclist detour has been open since January 2026, so bike riders can complete the loop, though with a required detour around the collapsed section and reduced views there.
